Chia Seed & Banana Ice cream

(Serves: 3)
  • 300g Frozen Banana (aprox. 3 very ripe bananas)
  • 75 ml Almond milk
  • 1 tsp Chia Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Honey
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • Topping: Cacao nibs

This Chia Seed & Banana Ice Cream is probably the simplest recipe you will ever make and it absolutely delicious.

A simple combination of frozen banana, chia seeds, cinnamon and honey takes just minutes whiz up in a blender or food processor and makes the best tasting “Nice Cream” ever. Cinnamon is a great metabolism booster and chia seeds make this ice cream so nice a creamy, not to mention pack some serious protein punch into it, and keep you feeling full. I like to top mine with cacao nibs for a bit of extra crunch!

  1. Cut 3 ripe Bananas into chunks and place into tupperware container or freezer bag.

  2. Freeze overnight (2 hrs minimum.)

  3. Blend frozen banana with Almond milk for 2-3 minutes until smooth. I recommend using a food processor to make this, but a good blender would also work.

  4. Add chia seeds, honey and cinnamon and blend for a few more minutes.

  5. Serve immediately and enjoy!
